Engaged...

Hello world of bloggers. Just to preface, this post will be a very Mormon-esque entry. Im SO tired of hearing/seeing the word "engaged" I am particularly bummed about it this week because 3 people younger than me and 2 people close to me got engaged. I'm annoyed. Really world? really? If its not bad enough that I lost two of my sisters to it in one year, I am now losing too many friends to it just this summer . . . Still annoyed. P.S. yes, I AM aware that I sound selfish,bitter, and petty. But at the moment I am. So there. :) I'm hating that I cant hangout with my friends anymore, and will never be able to until I "join the club". well P.S. world...im ok with being on the chess team for the moment. I just wish that everybody else was on it with me. So theres my rant. :)

JOBLESS

I have now become a victim of the recession. AND the illegal immigration problem. AND the stupid boss problem. :) OK actually i was laid off from my waitresing (P.C. "serving job"), and am now a menice to society. Heres what happened: One of the restaurants in the SmokeHouse chain was closed.. and MY manager was deported (shady). The manager of the store that closed took over my location and brought his crew with him, thus the demise of my job... Interestingly enough, however, im not particularly broken hearted. Im moving home to mooch off my wonderful parents for the summer and will continue my job search when i return in the fall. So there you go.

Viva DMB AND Las Vegas!

This last weekend i went to las vegas to see my favorite band perform. It was freaking AMAZING. Even though i was incredibly close to having a severe asthma attack (DMB fans are apparently quite into marijuana) it was sooo worth it!
The only problem was that there were no cameras allowed (live recording) ... so here is the poster that was all over the place of the Dave Matthews Band.
They preformed soo well! the venue was in the MGM garden arena and was completely sold out. p.s. the MGM has free parking... who'da thought? The band was even better than expected but Vegas was actually worse, if you can believe it. i have never seen so much alcohol and so many drunk people in one setting. Also, the nasty's of vegas seem to come out on saturday nights. . . . Besides that it was amazing and I cant wait to see them again!

For those of you creepy people reading this blog that aren't related to me and don't know things about my life, i have just been accepted into Culinary school. yay! I start in August and am very very excited. here is a fun little look into what my school uniform will be on a daily basis.

Sorry Santa, The Bunny has it!

So, it would seem that the Easter bunny has decided to start rollin' "eco-friendly". As seen in my latest trip to California during Easter break. :) who would have thought that when you opened an easter egg, and corrosponding present, a set of car keys would be at the end of the puzzle? Not me! But there you have it... a beautiful new little Hybrid Honda. Thanks Easter Bunny, i will never say anything about you being a lesser holiday character ever again...

Oh yeah, and my parents are the most amazing people i know. Thank you so so so much mom and dad! :) I cant wait to see you guys this weekend!

It was our Room-mate Brooke's 21st Birthday and, as we do for all our room mates, we have a themed birthday party. The theme? "Roses are red and so are your clothes..." Everyone Must come in RED. The food: Red velvet cake, red cookies, cinnamon bears, hot tomales, buffalo chicken, red punch, etc... Party was a total success (as usual) :) Happy Birthday Brooke!
