So this year for Halloween I decided to be something different for each party I went to. :)

third? Brittany Spears.pregnant. (along with swine flu and global warming)
And finally the tooth fairy.. :)
So that was Halloween this year. who knows what next year will bring :)

"why yes, yes I am"

As my family can attest, I have had trouble in the past deciding what to do with my life.. I think, at present, the number of majors declared stands at 5. After much deliberation however and two weeks at the beach with my besties, I have finally decided what to do. NOTHING. (well, at the beach) How could I have not seen that before? DUH! I am sure in this choice I will be completely fulfilled, and 100% happy. PLUS it will help me to grow as a person, its not easy ya know :) Going to the beach everyday, wearing flowy dresses, no makeup, and flip flops. It really is difficult. Sleeping in everyday, going shopping, reading fiction, and sun tanning. Rough. So, your welcome world! I am entering the "work force" and the "real world" Woot! Woot!

Engaged...

Hello world of bloggers. Just to preface, this post will be a very Mormon-esque entry. Im SO tired of hearing/seeing the word "engaged" I am particularly bummed about it this week because 3 people younger than me and 2 people close to me got engaged. I'm annoyed. Really world? really? If its not bad enough that I lost two of my sisters to it in one year, I am now losing too many friends to it just this summer . . . Still annoyed. P.S. yes, I AM aware that I sound selfish,bitter, and petty. But at the moment I am. So there. :) I'm hating that I cant hangout with my friends anymore, and will never be able to until I "join the club". well P.S. world...im ok with being on the chess team for the moment. I just wish that everybody else was on it with me. So theres my rant. :)

JOBLESS

I have now become a victim of the recession. AND the illegal immigration problem. AND the stupid boss problem. :) OK actually i was laid off from my waitresing (P.C. "serving job"), and am now a menice to society. Heres what happened: One of the restaurants in the SmokeHouse chain was closed.. and MY manager was deported (shady). The manager of the store that closed took over my location and brought his crew with him, thus the demise of my job... Interestingly enough, however, im not particularly broken hearted. Im moving home to mooch off my wonderful parents for the summer and will continue my job search when i return in the fall. So there you go.

Viva DMB AND Las Vegas!

This last weekend i went to las vegas to see my favorite band perform. It was freaking AMAZING. Even though i was incredibly close to having a severe asthma attack (DMB fans are apparently quite into marijuana) it was sooo worth it!
The only problem was that there were no cameras allowed (live recording) ... so here is the poster that was all over the place of the Dave Matthews Band.
They preformed soo well! the venue was in the MGM garden arena and was completely sold out. p.s. the MGM has free parking... who'da thought? The band was even better than expected but Vegas was actually worse, if you can believe it. i have never seen so much alcohol and so many drunk people in one setting. Also, the nasty's of vegas seem to come out on saturday nights. . . . Besides that it was amazing and I cant wait to see them again!

For those of you creepy people reading this blog that aren't related to me and don't know things about my life, i have just been accepted into Culinary school. yay! I start in August and am very very excited. here is a fun little look into what my school uniform will be on a daily basis.

Sorry Santa, The Bunny has it!

So, it would seem that the Easter bunny has decided to start rollin' "eco-friendly". As seen in my latest trip to California during Easter break. :) who would have thought that when you opened an easter egg, and corrosponding present, a set of car keys would be at the end of the puzzle? Not me! But there you have it... a beautiful new little Hybrid Honda. Thanks Easter Bunny, i will never say anything about you being a lesser holiday character ever again...

Oh yeah, and my parents are the most amazing people i know. Thank you so so so much mom and dad! :) I cant wait to see you guys this weekend!

It was our Room-mate Brooke's 21st Birthday and, as we do for all our room mates, we have a themed birthday party. The theme? "Roses are red and so are your clothes..." Everyone Must come in RED. The food: Red velvet cake, red cookies, cinnamon bears, hot tomales, buffalo chicken, red punch, etc... Party was a total success (as usual) :) Happy Birthday Brooke!

Literally... A frozen bum.

For those of you that have never been snowboarding, let me educate you for a moment. It hurts. its hard. its cold. you fall A LOT. you look like an idiot. 6 year olds fly by you and yell at you to get out of the way "granny". This was my experience this week. Let me first preface this by saying that I had actually been two times before. My first time was basically the most inathletic i have ever felt in my ENTIRE life. (although my company/teacher was fabulous) My second time going was the second most inathletic i have ever felt...yet again great company(Whijer) Well i was told this week "you have to go at least THREE times" For crying out freakin' loud... sigh. Now my commitment was in question... So i went. AND to my immense surprise he was right! Third time is a charm! (kind of) It was still cold and hard and hurt like the dickens but i have to admit that i actually enjoyed the act of snowboarding this time. Me, Kyle, Dan, Lauren . (They were all really good. I was not.)
That person who looks like a very big man, is me. :) not falling :) P.S. I was wearing ALL mens clothes. Thus the looking like a man.
The lakers Blanket is me and the plaid is lauren. We were SO hashed... So all in all i have to say that learning to snowboard is Hell-like. But if you have the guts to go at least 3 time and literally freeze your bum off it just may be worth it.

The man ruined that too with a little thing called Mtv!

I want to applaud all musicians out there that aren't particularly "good looking". That may have been "beat with the ugly stick" . Or don't neccisarily look like "Brad Pitt". Good for you ugly musicians!
Although.... sometimes I don't think it really matters how ugly you are. I would date the winner of the nasty awards if he could play a wicked version of Crash into me on his guitar.

you could even have the biggest shnoze ever but does it matter if your a crooner? no.
So to all you "not so gorgeous" musicians i say, carry on... (and yes I LOVE all of these guys)

Midterms

I have absolutely no social life, and studied 71/2 hours yesterday. (shut it Whitney, don't rain on my parade) I just wanted to let you know how tired of studying I am... and its not over yet! :) Thank freaking goodness for mother and father coming to make me feel sane and loved.

So today i ate. My wonderful, loving, sweet, good natured, great great rommies made/bought me some breakfast for my birthday. I had German Pancakes with magleby's syrup and it was thte best food i've ever had in my entire life. then of course.....

So, day 7 of my lemonade fast. im starting to want to eat everything. Talking about what i want to eat keeps me from actually doing it :) right now I just keep thinking to myself, "make it to monday" Monday is definitely my birthday, so that means I'll get to eat real food at day 13! woot! woot! I really really want to eat some Cafe Rio, Kneaders, Outback, and Krispy Kreme... and i think im going to go to all of them. :) Sadly, when i saw this picture the first thing i though of was "yum"...

I know its sad.... this is a Krispy Kreme bacon cheese Burger.... :)

Fine, I'll make other people fat then.

So, for some reason while dieting I go crazy and bake everything I have the ingredients for.

I must say these are probably my best invention cookie yet. :) Its a peanut butter cookie made from from scratch with chocolate chips in the center, then on top of the chocolate chips is a huge piece of a Reeses' bar giving it somewhat of a flying saucer look. Then drizzled on top are melted chocolate and peanut butter. I have to rely on my testers tell me they're amazing as I cant try them...

Sadly i have no pictures of my other culinary ventures this week, but I will say that my home made marble brownies with frosting and the ever popular "No Bakes" are worthy of Honorable mentions :)

Lemonade nastyness

If Beyonce can do it I can!!!!

So there is a fad diet out at the moment called the Master Cleanse aka the "lemonade diet".

Your daily ration of food is as follows:
2 liters of water
5 Lemons/limes
1/4 cup of organic grade B syrup
Cayenne Pepper to taste (about a teaspoon)
- Mix and drink throughout the day. Nothing else but water and vitamins.
- continue this for at leased 10 days and no more than 40.

Now, before i get a ton of comments telling me how unhealthy this is, let me just say that I've already done it. I went for the 12 days before Thanksgiving, and lost 13 lbs. It was freakin' awesome. Of course I gained all that 'probably water' weight back but I found a great way to get thin when your short on time! :) It was hard around day 3 and 4, I craved everything in sight, even things I didn't like. After that though it wasn't as bad as you would think. I am now attempting to do it again, but this time for the total 40 days. (with the exception of my birthday and possibly valentines day) Also I'm going to add fiber and diet coke to my everyday meal plan. (can you blame me?)


Here are some before and afters of Beyonce who did it for like 14 days and lost 17 Lbs.

Hello World of Blogger's! Its official. I am sad to say that apparently I give in quite easily to peer pressure. After continual harassment, I have decided to join the ranks. Here you go world! ok, so maybe not much of a first post, but its the first thing I thought of. :)

In the name of all the "servers" out there, here is a list of simple things you can do to NOT make life easier on your waitress. (we're so pleased to be of service!)



1. Bring your badly behaved kids with you.
- We servers love kids! However, when you let throw there plasticwear all over the
restaraunt, smash Mac n' Cheese all over the seats, tables, centerpieces, BBQ sauce bottles,
eachother, the floor, or anybody else it makes clean up quite a bit more difficult for us
when you leave.

2. Be indecisive when you order
- Customer:"ok I'll have the Beef brisket, thats pork right?"
Server: "No sir, thats beef, But we do have a pulled pork sandwich?"
Customer: "Do you have ribs?"
Server: "Yes sir we have ribs, would you like the half or whole rack?"
Customer: "Uhhh dear what do you thi....ooh! you have chicken! like by itself ?"
Server: "yes sir you can get it in a platter. the platter comes with two sides."
Customer: "oh rite sides... what are they again?
Server: "the sides are Mac n' cheese, roll, baked beans, applesauce, mashed potatoes,
fries, sweet potato fries, as you'll see right here on your menu."
Customer: "Just give me uh....... beans, no! mashed potatoes! ummm what do you like?"
ETC.... ETC....

3. Round her tip the nearest dollar, no more!
- your tip is our rent money. (some of us dont get payed by our employers)We love you, so
love us :)

4. Demand attention when your server is with another table
-ie. waving arms, standing up, yelling across the room, tapping your server on the shoulder
when she's with another table, etc.

These simple things among others will help to srtess, anger, and distress your waitress.
